IBM Mobile Foundation is a service offering(on IBM Cloud) that offers back-end services to enterprise developers to securely manage their apps on. With increasing penetration of technology into business world, businesses now want to easily create and manage powerful applications for their customers.

Not having a way to design apps that consume their back-end services, IBM felt a gap and a need to introduce a product that let developers consume IBM Mobile Foundation service while creating their apps easily. The output? IBM Digital App Builder

Gartner Review of 2018 highlighted an opportunity in IBM's high-productivity app-building capability for which IBM had no tool to offer.
